People’s Media Awards 2008 – The Suspense Continues

In AC News on January 19, 2009 at 1:10 am

The final announcement for the 2008 People’s Media Awards is still pending, and many-a CP is anxiously awaiting the final results.

Hundreds of CPs have been nominated by fellow writers to win awards for CP of the Year, Articles of the Year and Videographer/Audiocaster/News Provider of the Year.  If you want to read up on the buzz in each category, head to the Forums for the complete lineup of nominees.

Here’s a brief summary of top contenders for the CP of the Year award (from the CP nominations).

  • Jcorn
  • Donna Porter
  • Pam Gaulin
  • 3lilangels
  • Momie Tullottes
  • Carol Bengle Gilbert
  • Charlotte Kuchinsky
  • Shawn
  • Angie Mohr
  • Amy Brantley
  • Rodney Southern
  • Saul Relative
  • Sylvia Cochran

AC has stated that the final awards are based on a combination of factors and not just CP nominations.  Several CPs voiced that counting on only forum-basd nominations was unfair because many award-worthy CPs simply don’t post publicly in the CP forum and help fellow writers through Private Messaging, personal e-mail and with their blogs.

Any thoughts on the issue?  Post your comments below, and stay tuned for the final awards results by the end of the month.

The AC Daily Gets a Makeover!

In AC News on January 13, 2009 at 10:31 pm

Since I couldn’t part with The AC Daily completely, I’ve revamped the look to bring you The AC Weekly, a compilation of blog posts, insights, tips and updates. Since I’m busy producing AC articles and working on several other creative projects, this blog will now be updated on a weekly or bi-weekly basis (thus, the name change).

If you would like to be a guest blogger on this blog, please  send me a PM  via AC and I’ll be more than happy to set you up for a featured post!

In the meantime, enjoy the blog’s new look and stay tuned for updates in the very near future…
